The One2s

The One2s play loud, melodic guitar music that pulls from punk's urgency, Britpop's hooks and the wall of sound of shoegaze. XPN's The Key called them "a delightful mix of shoegaze and punk." You can hear Sonic Youth, Pixies and My Bloody Valentine in there, but the band isn't copying anyone. They're building on it.

Guitar pedals are a big part of the sound. Songs move from washed-out, dreamy textures to tight punk riffs, and a lot of that happens at their feet.

The band grew out of two earlier projects, LEIANA and Big Crowd Popular. Sean and Jay have been making music together since they were teenagers. Sean also co-owns Raccoon Point Studios in Westover, Maryland, where he engineers and produces, and he was a 2022 Grammy nominee contender for audio engineering and songwriting. The band's YouTube channel digs into pedals, gear and production.

The One2s have released two EPs and the 2023 album This Is Not That.
